It addresses Open Science and the use of data for the common good as strategic axes for tackling contemporary global challenges. It brings together research, theoretical reviews and practical experiences that explore how open access to knowledge, data interoperability and interdisciplinary collaboration can drive innovative solutions in health, education, the environment, the economy and public policy. It analyses ethical, legal and technological frameworks for responsible data management, as well as gaps in infrastructure, digital capabilities and governance. The aim is to promote critical debate on the opportunities and risks of open science and to offer guidance that will strengthen more transparent, inclusive scientific production geared towards sustainable development.
